(a) The employer of the establishment coverable under the Act and applying for Provident Fund Code online shall submit application along with all prescribed documents online after digitally signing the same. Therefore, it is necessary for every establishment to have a digital signature.
(b) The employers of all the establishments already covered under the Act, must have digital signature so that they can submit any document in future such as form 5A digitally also. It will also enable the establishment to verify UAN data.
2. These directives are made operative with immediate effect. The present establishments already covered (having employees less than 50), however, are given time till 31.12.2015 for procuring and registering the digital signature.
